October 2003- "Flixton Band hit the Web"

Over
the last 2 months much work has gone on behind the scenes to bring Flixton in-line
with the many other bands that are making the most out of publicity brought about
via the web. The site features everything you could want to know about the band
including band history, news, contesting history, personnel and vacancies. The
site also contains a photogallery and members only area. The Band's web-designer
Rachel Langridge says "I wanted to make the site simple to use but with a
professional outlook". The website has been accessible to band members for
the last 2 months allowing for input and improvements but was launched to the
general public on the 1st October 2003.
The Band would like to thank Rachel
for the hard work she has put into the website and also give her a formal welcome
(she only joined 3 months ago!). The band also wishes to welcome Paul Lynch who
has signed for Flixton after moving into the area. We hope both Rachel and Paul
will have a long and prosperous association with the band. |
