3rd June 2008 "Paul Andrews to prepare Flixton for forthcoming contest"

Flixton Band are delighted to announce that Paul Andrews will be preparing them for, and conducting them at the forthcoming Kirkby Lonsdale Contest.

Despite a busy schedule with his own band - the highly successful Bactiguard Wire Brass, Paul will be taking all Flixton rehearsals leading up to the contest.
Band Manager Michael Rowley said, "We are delighted to be working with Paul, who has a successful record of developing bands. I am sure that Flixton Band will benefit tremendously from working with him".

Flixton Band will be working with established conductors over the next few months on a number of projects aimed at developing the band in readiness for its forthcoming National promotion. The band are currently looking for a couple of players required to strengthen the successful line up. Details can be found on the band website, flixband@aol.com
