31st January 2005 - "Flixton welcome new signings "

Flixton Band are delighted to welcome some new signings into the band.

Karen Armfield former Solo Trombone, has returned to the band's Trombone section. Rachel Jones has joined the Solo Cornet bench from Wire Brass. Anthony Bartley has moved from Beaumaris to Manchester, and is taking over the Solo BBb Bass chair. In addition, Louise Knowles is returning to the Cornet section, after a short break from banding.

Musical Director Kevin Gibbs said "We are delighted to welcome players of this quality and experience to Flixton, in time for the North West Regionals, and beyond."

Flixton Band have a number of exciting projects planned for 2005, including a CD recording.
