3rd June 2008 "MD Iain McKnight resigns at
Flixton Band"

Flixton Band announces the resignation of their Musical Director Iain McKnight with immediate effect.


In his ten months as MD, Iain has led the band to wins at the Fleetwood and Pontins' contests, narrowly missed out on qualifying for the National Finals, and secured National promotion to the Second section from January 2009.

The band members would like to take the opportunity to publicly thank Iain for all his work during his tenure with the band, and wish him all the very best for the future.



We will shortly be  looking for a suitable MD with the experience and drive to lead the band in the Second section and guide it upwards.  Applications (in confidence) should be sent to the band at: flixband@aol.com
