Solo Cornet- Lauren Lilly

Lauren started playing cornet at the age of 10, and after 3 months of playing joined Astley Youth Training Band on front row and Wigan Intermediate band on principal cornet, After a year she moved up into the senior bands in both, and after a few short spells on various instruments Lauren has settled on front row at both.

At the age of 13 Lauren joined the Golborne band on Rep, soon moving onto Soprano. Lauren's current teachers are Mark Wilkinson and Dave Wilson, but previous teachers have been Dave Little, John Doyle and Brian Taylor.

Lauren's other interests include playing guitar and piano, singing and playing football. After doing her G.C.S.E.'s she hopes to go onto college and university and take a career in sound engineering.
