At times all bands need to call on extra players to take seats at both contests and concerts if their regular players cannot attend. These players may be ex-members of the band. Some players may have joined a different band or others retired (or think they have!) from banding. It is a fantastic thing for the brass band movement that there are always members from other local bands willing to deputise to help out our movement. Flixton is very lucky to have a number of regular guests.
