Additional Personnel

Did you Know? Most brass band instruments have a conical bore: the diameter of the tubing increases gradually throughout the length of the instrument. Other brass instruments, such as the trumpet, have a cylindrical bore, in which the diameter of the tubing remains constant before flaring at the bell. Cylindrical bore instruments have a bright, piercing sound. Conical bore instruments are the key to the mellow, rounded sound of a Brass Band.
