1st Trombone - Helen Horowicz

Helen was taught to play the Eb tenor horn at the age
of 8 by her dad. She played with Lofthouse &
Middlesmoor Silver band changing to the euphonium at
the age of 13, and playing until she left for
University. After a few years out for hard work and
play she joined Parr St Helens on 2nd Euphonium, until
in 2003 she was persuaded to trade in the valves for a
trombone. She played trombone until recently (winning
the trombone prize in the third section at St
Helens!), and has moved back onto Eb tenor horn since
joining Flixton.
