3rd Cornet- Louise Knowles

Louise started playing the trumpet at the age of 15, but moved onto cornet a year later. She joined her local non contesting band on bottom 3rd cornet and worked her way through to 2nd man down, after this she moved to Wellington town band on 3rd man down. After a short break from banding Louise joined Jackfield Elcock Reisen band a local 1st section band where she played 2nd cornet. Louise now studies at Salford University where she is undertaking her BA in brass band music. Since arriving at Salford Louise has played for Eccles Bourough Band, Stalybridge Band and is now a member of Flixton.

Louise's hopes for the future are to go on to do a PGCE in music to become a secondary school teacher.
