2nd Horn - Nicola Hill

I joined Central Manchester Band on Horn when I was 15. Happy memories of this (my first Band ) as I also met my husband (Ed ) here. After 10 years progressing onto other local bands including;- Flixton, Thornsett, Middleton, Golborne, Longridge, Haydock, Pemberton JJB and Wire Brass over the next 30 years. 

Highlights

Recent success with Pemberton Old JJB Band highlighted a banding career which included several National Finals including a memorable win at Harrogate in 2004. 
I also have some recollection of a trip to Germany with Flixton – although the ale clouds the memories a little. 

Work Hard / Play Hard

Studied under many of the top players and Conductors like Roy Newsome, James Scott and more recently Dave King, I see myself as a solid, reliable member of any Horn Section with a ‘work hard / play hard’ attitude. 

Ambitions

I’d like to play naked at the Royal Albert Hall. ( Not really, It does not have to be the Albert Hall ).
