2nd Horn -
Nia Lloyd-Williams
Nia Started playing the Cornet ages 11
at her local Junior School in North Wales. At high School she was taught by Mr
W Hind and through this Joined Rhyl Silver Band aged 17 years. She joined the
band on 3rd Cornet and then moved over to playing Euphonium. Nia played every
instrument in the band from BBb Bass to Soprano Cornet!
In 2002 she decided
to return to University to study for a Diploma in Social Work. Whilst in the Manchester
area she has played Baritone with Eccles Borough Brass Band and Soprano Cornet
with Blackley Band. In January 2004 Nia signed for Flixton on Eb Bass. Due to an arrising vacancy in May 2004 Nia moved to the Horn Section.

memorable banding moment:
"Whilst playing principal euphonium
with Rhyl Silver Band I won the 'Best Soloist' tropy in Section 2 of the North
Wales Championships in 1997 adjudicated by Bob Childs!"
