*19/12/03* Tim Paton, who has truly, madly, deeply gone onto BBb Bass, has some exciting news for 2004. First, however, he must point out something that concerns his partner, (Julie Pickering on 1st Horn). "Her profile states that her most memorable banding moment was meeting Flixtons Solo Trombone! It must be made absolutely clear that this is not 'Lynchie', it's me!" Whilst on the subject, Tim and Julie are getting married in March 2004!! The Band wishes to congratulate the couple and look forward to celebrating the occassion in the new year.
2004 will also see a new website, "TP Music" www.tpmusic.co.uk This will be a website featuring Tim's music for Brass Band.

*18/12/03* The last couple of months have seen a number of new faces join the band. Brian Kelly joins on Bass Trombone. Brian, from Bolton, is a former player with numerous Salvation Army Bands. To accomodate our new arrival in the Trombone section Tim has kindly (maybe madly!) agreed to move onto BBb Bass! This has left the solo Trombone spot to Paul and Graham has taken the 2nd Trombone chair. The band is also pleased to announce that we have filled the vacant 2nd Euphonium Position- Mathew Stenson has signed for the band after recently moving into the area. Mat comes from North Wales where he proved worth gaining the title of 'North Wales Slow Melody Champion' in 2002. Both Andy Tyson and Andy Myers have joined the band on 1st Baritone and Eb Bass respectively. Both Andys stepped in to help the band at the Wilkinsons St Helens Contest in November and have since signed for the band. Not only Tim but also Sylvia and Paul taken new positions in the band. Paul Thomason has moved back to the 2nd Baritone spot and Sylvia is now a new member of the Percussion section. Profiles to follow so watch this spot!
