..performing a new composition
- Gareth Churcher's ‘Episodes in Brass' Flixton were awarded 3rd Prize at the Pontins National Championships. The contest marks 15 competitions under the baton of Kevin Gibbs. In this time the band has brought home 13 prizes including top honours at Pontins 2005, Buxton 2005, St Helens 2005 and Preston 2005. Our performance at the NWCBBA contests during 2005 has seen the band promoted to championship section for all local contests. The band's first showing in the championship will be on the 19th Novemeber at Wilkinson's St Helens. The gave a technical and musical reading of the piece and were pleased with the performance.
